Biographical Info

Rahul is devoted to leveraging innovative consumer health technologies and unique partnerships to increase the economic efficiency and quality of health systems. Rahul is focused on empowering payors, providers, and consumers of health services to make holistic, data driven decisions. Through his commitment to networking, mindfulness, teamwork, and research, Rahul is skilled at nurturing timely, strategic data solutions, business development and policy change initiatives at the intersection of health informatics, health policy and health care finance.
Several of LPHI’s national and regional initiatives benefit from Rahul’s servent leadership at this intersection. Main initiatives include the ONC Beacon sustainability model for the Greater New Orleans Health Information Exchange; the Gulf Region Health Outreach Program’s Primary Care Capacity Project, entrusted to LPHI for administration by a court settlement from the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill; and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute’s Louisiana Clinical Data Research Network, focused on Patient Centered Comparative Effectiveness Research.
Rahul is a member of an organization-wide strategic planning effort as a co-owner of an inquiry team on Policy, and anchored the creation of a new Analytics Portfolio that cuts across service divisions and programs. Additionally, he is an inaugural management team member of a supporting corporation, Partnership for Achieving Total Health, Inc. (PATH) formed to generate revenue through diversified funding streams including payors, accountable care organizations (ACOs), health systems and individual consumers. Rahul was appointed to PCORI’s National Task Force on Data Standards, Security, Networking and Infrastructure for the PCORnet.
