Biographical Info
I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington’s Department of Human Centered Design and Engineering and a member of the dub group. I study the use of software to support positive behavior changes. My research focuses on increasing the diversity of political information people read and helping people achieve their health and wellness goals.
 I completed a BS in Engineering at Olin College in 2006 and my PhD at the University of Michigan’s School of Information in 2012. Previously, I have been a political blogger and, while working at Boeing, designed concepts for future passenger airplane interiors.
