Mostly I come to this field as an interested citizen. I am frankly very impressed at the pace of change and the potential of technology in health. I am also interested in the wider social implications of scientific advance, and how the public can be best informed, and appropriately involved, in these areas of amazing progress (e.g. nanotech, genomics, digital health, biomedical engineering etc.) I would love to see this whole area move more quickly, so that real cures and improvements will come about. I would also love to see a cultural shift toward awareness and embrace of Science as humanity’s best hope for a bright future!
