I am a data scientist in Child Trends and have been leading many data analysis projects of federal and state contracts. my research focuses on evaluation of education programs, fidelity of curriculum implementation, dosage and quality in early care, and advanced statistical methods. I have been involved in several research projects funded by the IES, OPRE, and NIH to examine impacts of quality care on school readiness. In addition, I was the residential methodologist for the meta-analysis project in National Forum on Early Childhood Programs and Policy. I have authored and co-authored papers published in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, and the Journal of Social Issues. I am an EMC certified data scientist.

Wendy A. Kellogg is a founder of the field of social computing, forming the first research group focusing on Social Computing in 1998: the Social Computing Group at IBM’s T. J. Watson Research Center. Topics addressed by the group included social translucence (a conceptual framework pioneered by Erickson and Kellogg), computer-mediated communication, and social computing for green IT and the next billion users. Kellogg holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology and authors and edits publications in the fields of HCI and CSCW. She serves on the editorial board of ACM’s Transactions on Computer-Human Interaction (ToCHI) in addition to chairing key conferences and technical programs (CHI, DIS, CSCW). Wendy has served on the National Academy of Science’s Computer Science and Telecommunications Board (CSTB). She was named ACM Fellow in 2002 for contributions to social computing and human-computer interaction, and elected to the CHI Academy and IBM Academy in 2008. Wendy is currently an Emeritus Research Staff Member at IBM Research.
