I’m a technical director at Hortonworks, Inc. We develop and support 100% Open Source big data processing software through the Apache Software Foundation, including IoT (Internet of Things) real-time data streaming and machine learning, at massive scale.  My special interest is applying this open source software, scaled for IoT applications, to acquire, secure, curate, and analyze very high-volume streams of personal health data, in real time. The end goal is to identify beneficial health care practices, processes, and products, to improve the health of individuals and communities.
