Liam O’Neill is Associate Professor of Health Management. Dr. O’Neill’s primary research interests are in health care operations and information systems, including hospital efficiency analysis, hospital marketing, technology diffusion, and managerial benchmarking using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). His articles have appeared in numerous scholarly journals, including Health Care Management Science, Management Science, Medical Care Research and Review, Neurology, Anesthesia and Analgesia, Naval Research Logistics, and Socio-Economic Planning Sciences. He is on the Editorial Board of Health Care Management Science and other journals and is past-president of the Health Care Applications Section of Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS). Prior to his present position, he was on the faculty at Cornell University and the University of Iowa. His research on privacy of electronic health records was recently funded by the National Science Foundation.
