Meeting with Ivor Pritchard, HHS, October 13, 2015

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and fifteen other Federal Departments and Agencies have announced proposed revisions to the regulations for protection of human subjects in research. The proposed changes will impact the ways that we do our research.

HDE is co-hosting a conversation with Ivor Pritchard, Senior Advisor to the Director of the federal Office of Human Research Protections (OHRP) to discuss how the proposed changes may affect our research. This event will be held at Calit2 (Room 4004) on the UC San Diego Campus, Tuesday, October 13th from 1:30-2:30.

For information about Dr. Pritchard, please see: http://www.hhs.gov/ohrp/sachrp/mtgings/mtg10-08/present/bio/pritchard.html.

We are presently in the 90-day period where public comment is invited on the proposed rules. We have a unique opportunity to influence important changes to the federal human research protection regulations. We hope you will join us for this important event!
